G4 Sentinels are categorized as Flight Support, denoting their ability to fly and use various supporting armaments. While they may not do as much damage as a G1 or a G3 Sentinel, a G4 can be a strong support in the middle of a hectic battle. Here are the best armaments for the G4 Sentinels.
10 Multi-Lock Missiles
An area of effect attack that drops missiles on a group of kaiju. The missiles hit random targets and the damage is low, but it’s still a fairly cheap attack for clearing out some smaller kaiju.
Maybe one of the biggest drawbacks of Multi-Lock Missiles is that it sends the user flying to the location of the attack. Since G4 Sentinels are not very durable, this can put the user in danger. It’s best to use this attack in places where the user can quickly return to safety.
9 Point-Lock Missiles
An upgrade to Multi-Lock Missiles is only available to Shu Amiguchi. Unlike Multi-Lock Missiles, Point-Lock Missiles allow Shu to attack without moving, making them much less risky to use in battle.
Point-Lock Missiles have some decent range, but their damage is not much better than the original. However, it can slow kaiju down, making it good for stopping kaiju waves in their tracks. It’s a very good basic move to take care of smaller kaiju for a lower cost while forcing any survivors to slow down.
8 Gravity Missiles
One of the G4 Sentinels’ many versatile support abilities. Gravity Missiles do not deal any damage at all, but it does draw in kaiju into their area of effect, keeping them from advancing forward.
Since this armament does not do any damage at all, the Gravity Missiles are mostly used as a stalling maneuver, but they can also be used to group up scattered enemies to be hit by another Sentinel’s attack. Its uses are very often situational, but it can be helpful in a pinch.
7 Leg Spike
The only melee armament for G4 Sentinels. Leg Spike operates similarly to the G1 Sentinels’ Leap Attack where it flies high into the air and lands in an area, damaging a single kaiju.

Leg Spike can be risky since it launches the user into the midst of battle, but it can deal a lot of damage to a single enemy. Yuki Takamiya has a passive ability that boosts the damage of Leg Spike, making it particularly effective on her, even if it may not be a priority for the other G4s.
6 Flare Torpedo
Another support armament in the G4 Sentinels’ arsenal. The Flare Torpedo creates a zone that overheats any kaiju that passes through it. Overheated kaiju take damage and move slower, which makes Flare Torpedo a slightly better version of Gravity Missiles.
The Flare Torpedo is good at stalling kaiju and can even destroy missiles on impact, making it a good defensive armament. However, its low damage means that it is only used situationally. Nevertheless, it is the go-to move for G4s when dealing with massive swarms of small kaiju.
5 High-Energy Pulse Laser
A unique upgrade to the Arm-Mounted Pulse Lasers unique to Megumi Yakushiji. Unlike the original armament, the High-Energy Pulse Laser costs EP, but deals more damage over a wider range, allowing it to hit more kaiju at once.
Compared to other weapons wielded by other Sentinels, the High-Energy Pulse Laser doesn’t exactly kill kaiju that effectively, but it should still be helpful in clearing away swarms of smaller kaiju. It also has armor piercing, so it can be used to whittle down hardier enemies in a pinch.
4 Arm-Mounted Convergent Lasers
Another armor-piercing move for the G4 arsenal, the Arm-Mounted Convergent Lasers fire several beams forward, hitting any kaiju in its path. While its area of effect is smaller than other attacks, it does far more damage and pierces armor, making it good for damaging larger kaiju.

While the Arm-Mounted Convergent Lasers is one of the G4 Sentinels’ more damaging armaments, it still doesn’t match up to the destructive power of the other Sentinels’ armaments. Nevertheless, it is useful for taking out kaiju when other Sentinels aren’t available.
3 Hyper Condenser
The Hyper Condenser is a passive upgrade that only Renya Gouto and Megumi Yakushiji can obtain. This upgrade allows Gouto and Yakushiji to release more Interceptors per turn, allowing them to flood the area with Interceptors quickly.
For the most part, Interceptors are going to be the most useful thing that the G4 Sentinels are going to be doing, so the ability to launch more with a single action is very important. The increased EP cost lowers the effectiveness, but overall this upgrade is a must for Gouto and Yakushiji.
2 Shield Matrix
The Shield Matrix is one of the best supportive abilities that G4 Sentinels have. Upon activation, the Shield Matrix immediately grants a shield on all units that nullifies all damage for 6 seconds. This armament is the ultimate defensive armament just for its ability to completely block out damage.
While having shields can be incredibly useful, it’s not exactly efficient to keep them on all the time. Shield Matrix is best used when a G1 is about to jump into a swarm of kaiju or when multiple Sentinels are being targeted by a potentially damaging kaiju attack.
1 Interceptors
Interceptors are the most useful support armament that G4 Sentinels possess in their arsenal. The Interceptors are automated drones similar to Sentry Guns that fly around the map and attack any kaiju in range. Up to 50 Interceptors can be deployed at a time, so it’s possible to swarm the area with the proper upgrades.
Interceptors have low HP and can be killed easily. Nevertheless, deploying them is easily the most useful thing G4 Sentinels can do. The Interceptors do a small amount of damage, but the sheer number of them that can be deployed easily makes up for that.
